Dubai Parks

Dubai's parks are very well maintained with excellent facilities and very cheap to access. Here's a quick review and some information on each of the parks I've visited:

Creek Park

View along the Creek Path
Creek Park probably my favourite Dubai Park. Heading towards Sharjah, come off the Sheikh Zayed Road at Wafi / Healthcare City and turn first right where the Canadian Hospital is and carry on straight down that road. Creek Park is straight ahead. Easy.

It's only AED 5 to get in and it's pretty huge so it's never difficult to find a quiet spot. I like to be pushed in my stroller along the path next to the Creek so I can have a good nosy up and down, watching the sea planes take off and land near the Park Hyatt and checking out the little boats tootling past. This is definitely the selling point of this park.

Cable car
When I'm older I will certainly be having a go on the go-carts you can hire to get around the park and there's a cable car that runs along the Creek to get a great view of Dubai.  There's plenty of parking, even on a weekend, but I could also arrive by helicopter if I fancied it as there's a handy helipad too.

Helipad
There's all the usual Dubai park facilities too - small cafes and kiosks, barbeque grills, toilets, mosques and of course children's playgrounds. There's also some good little hills that look great for running up and down.

There's also a Dolphinarium and a Children's City but I haven't checked those out yet.

Umm Suqeim Park

Umm Suqeim is a cute, bite sized park but with a bit of glamour to it because it has a fabulous backdrop of the sea and the Burj Al Arab. Mum also like it because she can pop to the drive through Starbucks on the way back home on the Beach Road and get a coffee without me waking up from a snooze. During the week it's ladies and kids only, but on a weekend the whole family can go. Unusually for Dubai, this park is totally free.

Even though it's a small park it has a cafe, loads and loads of play equipment and best of all it has a couple of swings so tiny, even a 6 month old baby can have swing.
